Graiseley – Acorns Children’s Hospice

Acorns provides care for babies, children and young people, who have life limiting or life-threatening conditions. They offer a network of specialist palliative nursing care and support for local families. The package of care is tailored for each individual child to meet their medical, emotional, cultural, religious and spiritual needs. Their hospices also provide a happy homely environment where children can take part in a variety of fun and therapeutic activities, from arts and crafts sessions to hydrotherapy. There are also chances for them to meet new friends and relax.

Graiseley House has chosen to support this charity as it ties in with our House ethos of being part of a community who support each other through a breadth of situations, as well as developing resilience in young people. These values link strongly with the work that Acorns Children’s Hospice provides to those who they work with. We look forward to working closely with the charity by raising awareness and funds through charitable events.

Dawley: Wings and Paws Animal Rescue

Wings and Paws Animal Rescue are a local non-profit animal rescue. Led by founder Clare Vowels, they rely solely on voluntary contributions to keep their centre open. As like-minded animal lovers, Dawley House is proud to represent Wings and Paws as our House charity for 2023/2024.
Dawley House pride ourselves in representing all. We consider ourselves as caring individuals who believe both humans and animals deserve unconditional love, care and a place to call home. We look forward to working closely with the charity by raising awareness and funds through charitable events.

Holbeche: Compton Care

For over 40 years, Compton Care has provided patients and their families with specialist palliative and end of life care including bereavement support and providing assistance with every aspect of life.
