This week in PE Students took part in an engaging adaptive football session. Pupils took part in a blindfolded activity designed to develop their communication skills and raise awareness of inclusive sport. Whilst playing a modified version of football it encouraged them to rely on teamwork, verbal communication, and senses other than sight.
The session focused on clear instruction, active listening, and trust between peers linking to our Smestow value of success achieved together. Students guided others through spoken cues and sound awareness in order to be successful as that team.
The activity was both challenging and rewarding, promoting cooperation, and confidence while reinforcing the value of effective communication use in PE and physical activity. Well done to everyone involved.
