On Friday 16th October, ten of our fantastic Wellbeing Ambassadors from Years 7, 8 and 9, accompanied by Ms Buparai and Miss Malhi (Mental Health team), proudly represented Smestow Academy at the Healthy Lifestyles Event held at Molineux Stadium.
The event brought together schools from across Wolverhampton, giving young people the opportunity to share their ideas for promoting healthier lifestyles and improving wellbeing.
Our pupils delivered a fantastic presentation to a panel of four judges, demonstrating confidence, creativity, teamwork and excellent communication skills.
🥈 We were delighted to be announced as runners-up!
Even more excitingly, our pupils' ideas attracted interest from members of the judging panel, who expressed a desire to work with Smestow to explore how their proposal could be developed further and potentially brought to life.
We are incredibly proud of every pupil who took part. Standing up and speaking in front of an audience takes courage, and our Wellbeing Ambassadors represented themselves and Smestow Academy brilliantly.
👏 A huge well done to all ten pupils for their enthusiasm, confidence and contribution to such a fantastic event!
