As part of our ongoing commitment to promoting positive mental health and wellbeing, our Smestow Wellbeing Ambassadors have been working in partnership with the Wolves Foundation Health Champions Campaign on an exciting student-led project.
Last month, our ambassadors and Ms Buparai, Mental Health Support Worker, attended a health and wellbeing event at Molineux Stadium, where young people explored the issues affecting student wellbeing. Through discussions and workshops, bullying was identified as a key concern.
Inspired to make a difference, the students developed the idea of creating an anti-bullying awareness video promoting kindness, inclusion, respect, and the importance of seeking support. They then presented their idea in a Dragon's Den-style pitch to representatives from the Wolves Foundation and partner organisations, receiving high praise and support to bring their vision to life.
Following their successful pitch, the Wolves Foundation visited Smestow Academy to work with our students on filming the campaign video, giving our Wellbeing Ambassadors the opportunity to share powerful messages about the impact of bullying and the importance of positive relationships.
